While everyone experiences the occasional anxiety at some point in their lives,
people who struggle with an anxiety disorder often experience intense worry at irrational
times, and generally is out of their control.

What is Anxiety?

Anxiety disorders are a real medical condition that inflict not only psychological stress, but physical stress on one's health. Anxiety disorders and panic disorders can be classified into several different categories, most commonly including generalized anxiety disorder, social anxiety disorder, separation anxiety disorder and specific phobias. 

Symptoms of anxiety can range from restlessness and nervousness, to increased heart rates, gastrointestinal issues and sleeping issues. 

Childhood Anxiety

Sometimes anxiety can present as early as childhood. Children with anxiety often feel overwhelming fears and worries that affect their every day lives. Other anxieties in children present as phobias, such as phobias of clowns or animals.
